Rider on horseback wearing the Hipiclam system

The world's first active anti-fall system

Before the fall,
Hipiclam acts.

The first device that anticipates the rider's fall and releases them from the horse in milliseconds. It doesn't reduce the impact: it prevents the accident before it happens.

For a century, protecting yourself from a fall on horseback meant waiting until it had already happened.

Until now, equestrian safety systems have always acted afterwards. Helmets, body protectors and airbags reduce the harm at the moment of impact, but they neither prevent the fall nor change the body's trajectory towards the ground. The rider always reaches the bottom; the only thing that changes is the force with which they land.

Hipiclam opens a second path. A system that reads the horse's physical language in real time, holds the rider while the situation is still recoverable and, at the exact millisecond it ceases to be, releases them from the animal. Instead of cushioning the blow, it seeks separation in time, before the body reaches the ground.

The system

It holds you while you can.
It releases you when it must.

DetailStructure, harness and clasp mounted on an English saddle, during a field session.

The harness keeps the rider within the safe limits of balance, allowing them all the freedom that trotting, galloping and jumping demand. When the sensor detects the animal's fall, the clasp opens electromagnetically and the rider is freed before the impact.

Compatible with English saddlesThe most widespread standard in Europe and the Americas.
Tool-free installationFitted and removed in just a few minutes.
Adjustable to every pairingAdaptable to rider and horse, whatever their size.

Hipiclam system on an English saddle: structure, harness and claspThe structureThe harnessClasp and sensor

The structure

A removable semi-rigid pad, black with red trim, integrated under the English saddle. Articulated steel arms that adapt to the horse's natural movement.

The harness

A padded belt around the rider's waist, connected to the system with two steel carabiners. A firm hold with natural freedom of movement.

Clasp and sensor

Gyroscope, accelerometer and microcomputer in an electromagnetic clasp. It reads the horse's position and acceleration in real time. At the critical moment, it frees the rider.

Who it's for

Designed for every
type of rider.

Children learning to ride

Safety from the very first lesson so the little ones can ride without fear, and parents can breathe easy.

Adult beginners

It reduces the risk while balance and communication with the animal are still being built.

Advanced riders

Extra protection with difficult horses, without compromising technique or freedom of riding.

Hippotherapy

It opens up therapeutic riding to people with reduced mobility or special needs.

Breaking in young horses

A safety net when the animal's unpredictability is at its greatest, in the most vulnerable moment.

Equestrian tourism

It makes it possible to offer safe experiences to groups with no prior experience with horses.

A revolution that belongs, at last, to the rider, and not to the accident.

Frequently asked questions

What we're asked most.

Does HIPICLAM replace the helmet or the airbag vest?

No. HIPICLAM is complementary. The helmet and the airbag vest act on the impact once the fall has already occurred; HIPICLAM acts before, to prevent that fall. We recommend continuing to use a helmet and the rest of your protective equipment.

Which saddles is it compatible with?

The system is currently confirmed for English saddles, the most widespread standard in Europe and the Americas. For western saddles or other configurations, get in touch with us.

What exactly happens during a fall?

The harness keeps the rider within the safe limits of balance while the situation is recoverable. If the sensor detects the horse's fall or the saddle slipping, the clasp opens electromagnetically and frees the rider from the system before the impact.

Who is it designed for?

For children learning to ride, adult beginners, advanced riders with difficult horses, hippotherapy and adapted riding, breaking in young horses, and equestrian tourism. In every case, its use does not remove the need for supervision by a professional.

How is the sensor's battery managed?

The intelligent assembly runs on batteries and the system lets you check their status. We recommend checking the charge before each use.

Is it certified? And the price?

HIPICLAM is the result of five years of research and development. For up-to-date information on approvals, as well as on availability and terms, get in touch with us directly: the sale is consultative and we tailor each installation to the rider-horse pairing.
